Which Course is the Right Course?
Puppy Course
The puppy course is especially geared towards young puppies, and we accept them from a week after they've had their second vaccinations from the vet (usually around 11-12 weeks), up to 24 weeks of age.
Novice/Intermediate Course
The Novice Course is for all dogs who have either completed the Puppy Course, or are over 24 weeks of age.
There is no upper age limit.
The Novice Course is the the entry level for all dogs over 24 weeks of age (whether they've had any prior formal training or not), as well as being the next stage on from the Puppy Course.
Puppies who have completed the Puppy Course don’t need to be over 24 weeks of age to attend the Novice Course.
Dogs are also welcome to repeat this course, before moving onto the Advanced Skills level - obviously more will be expected of you and your dog if you repeat, and Kat will give you extension exercises at Intermediate level.
The Novice Course is for dogs of a reasonably sound temperament. Dogs who show an adverse reaction to being in close contact with other dogs would be better having one-to-one training sessions, prior to attending group classes.
Advanced Skills Courses - currently in very high demand!
Further on from the Novice/Intermediate Course are Kat's unique Advanced Skills Courses.
These courses really step things up a level and a lot more will be expected of both you and your dog.
A lot of the exercises in these courses will be done with the dogs off lead, so it will be expected that your dog will be very attentive towards you and that they have a very sound recall.
We do usually ask that any dog attending this course has completed at least the Novice/Intermediate Course with us, or had similar training elsewhere.
Indoor Fun Agility Course - Unfortunately we're not currently able to run this course
As an alternative in the meantime, Kat's unique Advanced Skills Courses contain many elements of indoor fun agility. These Advanced courses are in very high demand, so don't delay booking if you'd like to join in!
